Who I am.

I go by Blueprint Cee. I am a financial analyst. I determine whether investments are worth making, for a living and for myself. I invest my own money on the side of a full-time job while raising a family.

I bring the same discipline I learned over years in high finance to my own investing. Principled. Methodical. Grounded in logic.I can build a DCF and forecast profits. It is important to understand how a business operates. The pairing of the two will determine how far I am able to scale this.

Money has always intrigued me. For many that intrigue is about consumption. For me, even as a kid, it was about compounding. I did not know the term back then. But I understood that you could make money from having an idea. That was fascinating to me. That was everything.

My first investment was a CD while in college. I was in business school at an HBCU. I thought this is what Warren Buffett must feel like.

I went straight into the workforce after undergrad. Management consulting. Then I took the leap and started my own business.

My family stepped in. My father was the soul of that business. What started as mine became ours and we built it together for seven years. I could not have pulled it off without him. I owe my family everything.

Then my father became ill. We were running the business and taking care of him at the same time. That will test you in ways no textbook ever could.

I sold the business and had to figure out my next move. So I did something most people do not do when they are tired. I went back to school. Got my Masters in finance. Corporate finance. Investment management. Studied the thing I had been doing on instinct my whole life.

My father passed away a few months after graduation. He was my hero and taught me so much about business and work ethic. Everything I do is in honor of him and my family.

My plan was investment banking → hedge fund → my own fund. Clean. Linear. Defined. Then I actually made it to Wall Street, and got disenchanted.

Owning rental properties was never a priority for me. I had seen the struggle with them close up. It looked like stress with very little upside cash flow wise. Then I started working on investment decisions for a mortgage company. Something clicked.

I bought my first rental property in 2020. I am still learning. Still building. The income is not there yet, but the foundation is.

Investing is an art and a science. The science keeps you grounded in reality. The art is managing what you cannot model for. You need both to make it.

I work a W2. I invest on my own time. I build with my own capital. Everything I have learned the hard way is in the portfolio.

Why name it Blueprint Studio? Not because I am the blueprint. Because this is my blueprint. My story. My process. My mistakes. My wins. And maybe watching me build mine helps you build yours.

I aspire to be to investing what Outkast is to music. In my own lane. On my terms. Respected for how I play, not just what I win.

I am not your typical investor.
